'The Other Faces of Addiction'
The 30 portraits in our 'The Other Faces of Addiction' exhibition

'The Other Faces of Addiction' exhibition took place in October 2014 to mark our 30th birthday. 30 family members around the country whose lives have been touched by drug or alcohol use had been photographed, and the portraits exhibited. The images were then launched in the House of Lords later in the month, to raise awareness amongst parliamentarians of the stigma faced by families.
In March 2015, the exhibition went to Parliament again, with a week's long exhibition, this time, in the House of Commons. Meg Hillier, Adfam's local MP, came along to say a few kind words about Adfam and the work we do to help improve families' quality of life.

The exhibition was so warmly received, and the images such a success, that Adfam decided to send 50 copies of the photographs to local family support groups, to hold replica exhibitions of 'The Other Faces of Addiction.' Between October 2014 and June 2015, over 20 replica exhibitions have been held in various locations throughout the country, with hundreds of attendees. The photographs are also being displayed in many more local family support services!
