Issue-based work and the gallery: Autonomy? Art? Recovery?
24 Mar 2017
Drawing on the pioneering work of Portraits of Recovery, this discussion asks whether issue-based art provides a more autonomous space than autonomous art can, in the epoch of art’s annexation by economic interests. The audience will be invited to share their experiences and views. Convened and chaired by visual anthropologist Amanda Ravetz.
