Family Voices competition 2017 open for entries
15 Aug 2017
Entries for the annual Family Voices competition are now open!
The competition, part of our annual Carol Concert, allows friends and family members who have lived through someone else’s substance use to express their thoughts and feelings in a creative and constructive way. While it is often difficult to talk about this subject, it can be helpful to write about it, and entries are of a consistently high standard.
All entries must be received by 31 October, and winners will be notified by 10 November.
There is a grand prize of £150 for the winner and prizes of £100 each for the two runners up. These three people, plus a guest each, will be invited to the Carol Concert on 6 December 2017 at St. Bride’s Church in Fleet Street, where their work will read aloud by a guest speaker. All travel and overnight accommodation costs are included as part of the prize.
What to enter: An original piece of writing or a poem of up to 500 words
Where to send it: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please see our 2017 poster you can use to advertise the competition in your service.
