Women Affected by Domestic Violence or Abuse and Someone Else’s Substance Use: Consultation Report

5 Mar 2018

This consultation was carried out as the first stage of a project funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s ‘Tampon Tax’, enabling Adfam to build on earlier work addressing the dual issues of substance use and domestic violence and abuse.

Adfam has also received feedback from practitioners at regional network meetings across the country, who have consistently raised issues of domestic violence and abuse within the context of substance-using families and the impact on women.

There is evidently a need for further work to understand these challenges and amplify the voice of those affected.

For more information about the project please contact Becky Allon-Smith.
