Finding remote support

Are you affected by the alcohol or drug use, or gambling of a family member of loved one? The current global pandemic means that already challenging circumstances may become even more difficult.

Despite not being able to meet face-to-face. there is still support and help available to you digitally.

Adfam@Home is Adfam’s remote support service. Find out more or access this support here.

We know that if you are affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use you might feel alone, or as if nobody understands what you are going through. Our online forum gives you the opportunity to share your feelings regarding your loved one’s substance use, to share experiences and support other people going through similar situations.

There are also a number of helplines you can call to receive support and advice for free over the telephone, and also a number of online support groups available for families to meet others in similar situations.

Please also see our list of useful organisations for more advice and support in specific areas such as kinship care or domestic abuse.
