Fundraising is a great way to support Adfam whilst challenging yourself. If you would like to help raise valuable funds to support our work to improve services for families affected by alcohol, drugs and gambling, we have lots of ideas and information to help you right here.
What can you do:
Fundraising events come in all shapes and sizes; you don’t have to run a marathon or climb Mt. Everest to support the work that Adfam does and change lives. There are so many ways that you can fundraise for Adfam and we can help you along the way. Here are some examples of fundraising events and challenges you could be involved in.
In 2021 Caroline ran the Great North Run in memory of her brother Robert. She raised funds and awareness for Adfam and we are so greatful for her support. Read about Caroline's fundraising campaign and the challenge she set herself here.
How to start:
JustGiving is the easiest way to kickstart your fundraising and means that you can reach people all over the country. You can use Adfam's JustGiving page and read our guide on how to get started here.

Other ways of fundraising for Adfam:
- Nominate us for a charity scheme. Workplaces will often have a charity scheme where events organised by your employer will raise money for a specific charity. As an employee you can nominate Adfam to be the company’s charity of the year.
- Donate as you earn. You can authorise your employer to deduct a donation to Adfam from your monthly pay. Read more here. Payroll Giving - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
- Donate in memory of someone. Leaving a gift to Adfam in your will or in memory of someone close to you can really help us continue to provide support to families who need it. You can set up a donation in memorium via our just giving page here.
