Following our consultation on working with women affected by domestic violence and abuse, and someone else’s substance use, we are pleased to invite female practitioners and professionals to our learning day in London on Wednesday 4 July. This is the second of our national events, following a successful day in Durham at the beginning of May.
The day is open to all women whose work in some way involves them in providing support to women affected by someone else's substance use, and domestic violence and abuse. The day will provide:
- Training and learning on the interface between substance use and domestic violence and abuse, and on specialist topics in this area of work including Child to Parent Abuse, and Trauma-informed work.
- An opportunity to network, share with, and learn from, those from different organisations working with this group of women. To highlight and celebrate the range of work taking place.
- A mechanism to identify gaps, challenges and opportunities to feed in to our information-gathering at a local and national level, which we will use to report back commissioners, funders, policy-makers and other influencers regionally and nationally.
