Dr Sam Wright, a Research Associate at Manchester Metropolitan University, in collaboration with Alcohol Change UK and Adfam, has written a new resource to help families that are caring for a loved one with an alcohol/drug problem that is seriously ill.
Whilst many people who encounter problems with their drinking or drug use recover, sadly this is not always the case and many do not. It is important to recognise this whilst understanding the needs of those that are caring for someone with a substance use problem that is seriously ill.
This new resource is for those families, to let them know that they are not alone, help them to navigate their difficult and complex situation and to find hope for the future.
