CSOP (Carer Support Outcome Profile) is a tool developed by the University of Bradford to help evaluate the work of services supporting families affected by drug and alcohol use. It provides a framework for tracking the progress of family support clients (e.g. relating to coping skills, safety, drug education or impact on daily life) and therefore helps them identify progress and areas of need.
As all services are trying hard to demonstrate the effectiveness of their work, initiatives such as this could prove extremely useful.
