Developing peer support for families of veterans with substance use issues - project advisory group

Adfam is working with the University of York to find out about the experiences and needs of families of veterans with substance use problems (FVSUs) before utilising these findings to develop a new peer support intervention. Find out more here.

This work has been funded by the Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT), a £35 million funding scheme run by the FiMT using an endowment awarded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

We’re looking to recruit two family members with lived experience to join our Project Advisory Group and play a key advisory role in the delivery of the project.

If you’re a family member of a veteran with substance use problems, or know someone that is, please download our information sheet (pdf).

FVSUs will be paid for their time and reasonable travel expenses reimbursed. Please note the substance use can be either current or historic.
