Gary Seaman Award 2019

We are now accepting nominations for the Gary Seaman Award 2019, our annual award presented to an outstanding practitioner or volunteer who has made a real difference supporting family members affected by drugs or alcohol.

Gary Seaman provided years of dedicated work to support carers and those affected by substance misuse, in the London Borough of Lewisham and beyond. He sadly died in June 2013, aged just 53. His partner, Michael, and two sons, Alex and Luca, chose Adfam as the charity to honour Gary’s memory, and established this annual award which is now in its seventh year.

This award is a chance for a practitioner or volunteer to be recognised and celebrated for making life better for families. There is a grand prize of £150, as well as two VIP tickets to Adfam’s Carol Concert at St Bride’s Church on Fleet Street on 4th December, plus travel and one night’s accommodation.

If you know of someone who has made all the difference to a family struggling to deal with their loved one’s drug or alcohol problem, this is your chance to show them your appreciation.

All entries must be received by 31 October, and the winner will be notified by 12 November.
