Adfam Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) – problem gambling

Adfam is looking to recruit someone with lived experience as the family member or friend of someone with a gambling problem to join our Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG).

Adfam's LEAG was set up earlier this year specifically for people with lived experience of having a loved one with a substance use or gambling problem to provide advice, guidance and evidence to inform Adfam’s Board of Trustees’ strategic decision-making and Adfam’s operational activities.

We consult our LEAG for their views on our future plans and the key issues we should be focusing on for our research, activities and campaigning and influencing work.

We will also look to involve LEAG members in other activities such as speaking at our events and conferences, or accompanying a team member to a meeting with a politician, or with Government officials.

We are keen to ensure we have as diverse a LEAG as possible, with representation from across England, and from a range of experiences, and relationships with the family member with a substance use or gambling problem.

If you are the family member or friend of someone with a gambling problem and would like to be considered to join the LEAG please send a brief summary of your story and your interest in Adfam to admin@adfam.org.uk.
