Family Poll - Supplying Naloxone

Adfam is running a poll for family members to contribute to a wider consultation by Release on the supply of naloxone, to make the case for changing legislation so naloxone can be supplied by a wider range of services. Release is a charity that provides specialist advice and information to the public and professionals on issues related to drug use and to drug laws.

Naloxone is a drug that reverses the effects of opioids among dependent individuals. It is used as an emergency treatment for opioid overdose.

If you are the family member of someone that is dependent on heroin or another opioid and they are or have been in contact with a service to support them with their dependence, we want to know if naloxone is available at that service, and if it isn't, if you want it to be.

Take part in the poll here.

If you are involved in a family support group or service and would like to contribute to Release's wider consultation about the supply of naloxone - please download this form,  complete it and send it to niamh@release.org.uk by Monday 22 June 2020.
