What will get you through the addiction. Telling your partner and your GP is your only option and I can’t stress that enough. His expectations of you are not important but what is is your health and your children! Not telling him and admitting what has happened will see you talking about this again in 5 years time on this very site. You had a genuine medical reason for you medication that snowballed and it’s a familiar story with codeine all around the world so please don’t be ashamed my dear.
