My husband is now hospitalised, 3 weeks late. If anyone who is reading this finds themselves in a similar situation, please don’t be fobbed off, insist on proper care. My husband wasn’t even a heavy drinker but the effects of stopping alcohol are unpredictable and withdrawal needs close medical supervision.
