This is my first post. We are at the end of our tether. Our son age 35 has been involved in drugs since he was a teenager. He is addicted to heroin and crack. Until recently he lived in London but in the summer arrived on our doorstep. We have refused to have him living with us because we are Special Guardians for his 16 year old son. So he is now sleeping on the sofa of our other son and dragging him down. He can’t hold a job down, has no money and is refusing to get help with his addiction. We just don’t know what to do.

Hi,
Thank you for posting. May be you would find it useful to speak with someone who would understand what you are going through. I work for a charity called The Icarus Trust that provides support for people, like yourself, who are dealing with the impact of someone else’s addiction. If you contacted us, one of our trained experienced volunteers would listen to you. They would be able to tell you what other support is available and help you find a way ahead.
You can contact us on help@icarustrust.org or visit the website http://www.icarustrust.org
Good luck.
