My father has been an alcoholic for as long as I can remember, recently it’s gotten a lot worse and his blackouts are causing him physical harm, and I just can’t take it anymore, we have tried everything to make him stop, I even told him to choose between me and the bottle but nothing seems to affect him. I have gotten to a point where I barely speak to him and just can’t stand him anymore. I know a person should always love and respect their parents but I just can’t, and the guilt of not loving my father is unbearable. Am I wrong to hate him?
