PLease can someone help me dealing with my son’s cannabis addiction. He is 26, has gone through college and got HND. He does not drink alcohol or do any other drugs. He has not worked since leaving college last year and has become a hermit who sits in his room, playing computer games and smoking cannabis. He gets unemployment benefit so only barely contributes to the house. It’s worth mentioning my ex husband, his dad passed away suddenly a few months ago. He has been smoking weed for 5 years.. When he has no money to buy cannabis he becomes angry and anxious. He has no respect for me or for his younger brother, who works. I have tried talking to him but he has become manipulative, I arranged counselling for him to which he said he would go but he didnt. I’m now at the end of my tether and want to throw him out but that would hurt me worse than him.
