My brother has been using various drugs dope, amphetamines and coke for most of his adult life. He probably uses other things but I just don’t know. Things have gone steadily downhill over the years to the point of him living in a house with the central heating being turned off and the washing machine being broken and not being replaced. My dad bought him the washing machine and it was broken within a year. My dad has paid off his bills occasionally and rent arrears, but that can’t keep happening and don’t think dad will do it anymore. I often worried that he would end up losing his home. I’m really scared for him. It is heartbreaking to see him living like this. He has approached a local support service and will be going for some counselling. But we have been here before with the counselling so don’t know what the outcome will be long term. Just feel quite crap really
