So sorry you are going through this. How are things now? I can only say what I do, which is I try the whole ‘detach with love’, I will support when I need to but not unnecessarily, I try to do walking, mindfulness and other strategies and not worry about things that haven’t happened or that did yesterday, last week. Obviously I’m not always successful in this! But I know self-care is crucial, 5x years in, and could be years more (I try to stay hopeful, I know recovery can happen, she has had brief periods) – I hope you manage to find some peace.
