My 30 year old daughter is using drugs and left her 13 yr old daughter with me over 3 months ago. She rarely texts her and hasn’t seen her in over a month. My granddaughter is angry and won’t see her at this point. I was advised to try to get temporary guardianship or temp custody of my granddaughter. Her father is also using and drinking. He had a camera in the ceiling in my granddaughters bedroom at his house and she refuses to go there now. My granddaughter wants me to have custody or guardianship but I’m afraid that it’s going to push my daughter farther into the drugs. I completely understand that my immediate concern has to be for my granddaughter but I can’t help but worry and stress about my daughter as well. PLEASE, any advice from anyone in this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
