Hi, my ex husband is a functioning alcoholic. Our marriage is over and I feel so sad. When he’s sober we get on ok but when he’s been drinking he’s abusive to me, but what hurts more is his relationship with our adult son and daughter is so bad, especially our son. Neither of them trust him and at the moment my son and I live in the same house as him and the situation is unbearable. I can’t move out until I get the money from our divorce settlement and I’m not sure how much more we can take of his abuse. My son is suffering with depression and has Aspergers. I’m really worried about my sons mental health.
