First time on here.
Been with my partner 4 year, we moved in together in May last year. Then I found out he’s high functioning alcoholic, drinks from 2 till he falls asleep anywhere. 18 cans a day he was drinking, I had no idea till we moved in together. In august last year he was taken by ambulance and admitted to hospital with Pancreatitis, he was in 2 weeks and stayed sober for 3 months. Then he started again, promising it would only be on a weekend, that never happened, 1st November 20 he was drinking 10 cans a day and still is!
He’s in 12k of debt, and spends all his money on drink, Ive accepted he will never change nor will he accept he has a problem, I am trying to move out but recently lost my job due to health problems and don’t have any money. Has anyone else been in this situation?
