Not sure what to do at this point. My dad has been an alcoholic pretty much my whole life. I’m at the point where I really just don’t want to deal with it anymore, but still feel guilty about completely cutting him off from my life. He’s really coming off unhinged lately, his most recent wife left him, he lost his house, and I’m pretty sure he has some legal issues intertwined in all of that. I know he was in prison recently because of domestic violence related charges. Now I think he is trying to pull me into court proceedings, which I really don’t want anything to do with.

What pisses me off the most is that he won’t be straight with me. He wants me to come “visit” him because he wants to see me, but he is being very ambiguous about his situation. Lately, he says he has been staying in hotels, but I believe he has been in and out of prison recently because of his behavior. He tells me he needs me for something but he doesn’t want to talk about it.
