Hi there,
My son has been smoking Cannabis since he was in Middle School and is now 26. He began using it to mask anxiety. It is very common here where we live in the USA. Five days ago he started Cyclical Vomiting (Cannabis Hyperemesis) which is when the THC levels in your body cause your body to reject the chemical.It is horrible to watch and hear and feel your son vomiting/retching 4-8 times/hour… followed by constant hot showers/ salt baths after each vomiting episode. After 2 visits to the Urgent Care and and 2 IV bags of fluids the physical part has subsided .
And now the psychological part begins. Irritability is quite an understatement. He is hostile and angry with my husband and myself. Every question is loaded.
I spoke with an addiction specialist today and so did my son. He is set up for video therapy in a day or two.
This is truly a nightmare and as do we all… We Googled, How Long Does Withdrawal From THC Take?
Has anyone else experienced this? I feel scared and overwhelmed.
