I need help. I have used cocoaine At 22 weeks and due my scan in 3 days time due to baby being head down at 20 weeks scan and unable to do measurements etc. I don’t intend on using this again this was a huge stupid mistake made I cannot take back.

Will my baby be ok and will tests be done showing cocaine?

I am not no doctor. But addicts who are preganant who use everyday.. there babys have come out addicted to the drug.. but yours was the once. I wouldnt worry to much. Just in no way what so ever do it again. Or drink..

But then again im no doc. You know your own body. And if something doesnt feel ok.. go straight to the hospital. Try not to worry as stress wont be good for the baby neither.

Regarding test.. im not to sure.. if they do blood test.. i dont think they test for drugs.. but u never know.

Just stay positive. And stay away from that stuff or people with it. And dont go near that stuff again. Try not to worry.

You absolutely need to tell the hospital what youve done – as they may be able to do something for you.

If youre having a child and youve done cocaine whilst carrying I worry about the baby really, I am not being judgemental but i dont get what must have been going through your head… what will you be like when the child actually gets here..

Not going to say too much as i dont want to make you feel bad but in my books thats an absolute no go, addict or not, harm yourself but a child – just no, seek help URGENTLY

      Dear Lulla,

FRANK runs a helpline that provides lots of good information on drug use and they should be able to talk to you about what to expect at your scan. Their number is 0300 1236600. I am sure you will feel much less worried once you have spoken to them.

      Best wishes,

      Clara
