My son is an amputee of 4 years (loss of lower leg plus other life changing injurues) and suffers with such severe pain despite medication prescribed by GP and pain clinic. His pain is not managed and I have just found out that he is taking cocaine to ease his pain and therefore now has an addiction to it. He wants to come off it and I have now taken to testing him so I feel awful as my trust has gone. We’ve tried to get help but no one gets back to us! I’m desperate. We almost lost him twice (he had a serious car accident which is the cause of his amputation and other life changing injuries plus PTSD & then he contracted Sepsis). We have gone through so much, attempting suicide too at one point. I just don’t know where to go to now for help. The GP offered the telephone number of the people we have been calling but no luck so far. Can anyone help please. I am at the end of my wits! Thank you.
