Our son has had an addictive behaviour which we have battled with since early teens and he is now 21. This has resulted in him taking many risks including drugs however ultimately involved in dealing drugs. This has resulted in him owing money to dealers he now can’t afford.

I have 2 daughters wife and a home that I need to protect and clearly also want to protect and help him out of this situation. Any advice welcome on what’s worked well for you. Many thanks

I don’t know what the answer is, I really feel for you 🙁

I always said I would never bail out my son, and here I am in debt and nothings changed.

They don’t change unless they want to.

I won’t/can’t bail him out again.

Ps I’m learning emotional detachment and it’s really hard. I don’t know how to cope with all this in my life.
