Someone who means the absolute universe to me, shifts between Heroin and Meth. They also have mental health issues.

Up until a month or so ago, we would talk via FB video chat on a fairly regular basis. I’m not sure what happened, and they won’t tell me. Our communication via messaging is sporadic, mainly because they take days to read my messages, and/or respond, if they even do. They said not long ago that they just weren’t up to talking with anybody. In reality, though, they have talked with at least two other individuals, and even their brother seems to be on the outs, so to speak.

They messaged me the other day, asking if I was busy. I responded that I was not, and asked, what’s going on? After about an hour or so, I decided to give them a call. They messaged me that they were with a friend, but were about to take their dog for walk, and would give me a call while doing so. They never called.

This is but one example of what takes place.

I figure most people would think that when someone asks if they are busy, it means the person who is asking the question needs help with something, or at the very least wants to talk. But maybe not? Maybe asking if I was busy, was simply a way of checking to make sure I’m still here? Maybe it’s a game? I don’t know, and that’s one of the many things I’m trying to understand.
