Hi. I’m 14.My biological dad was is an alcoholic , we moved away from him when I was 5. When he sobered up we visited him like 2 times a year ( he lived very far away) , until he started drinking again. I haven’t seen him in five years. I’ve always suspected my mum does drugs. She used to be in an abusive relationship and ever since they got together I knew they both did drugs. I was about 8 when I realised the both did. Their relationship has ended and now my mum is with someone else. I am now certain that mum and her partner do cocaine, there’s many reasons how I know but that would take to long to explain. My mum can’t afford to pay bills most of the time and is in a lot of debt but she always makes sure she has cocaine. She does it nearly every night but she doesn’t know that I know she uses cocaine. I’m worried she’ll die from it or never stop , I don’t know what to do. I have 2 sisters , one is 16 the other is 10. I want to tell her I know because maybe she’ll stop but I can’t. I know she’ll just deny it and have a go at me. I don’t feel like I can trust any of my friends or talk to any family members , What should I do ?

      Hello.
Thanks for posting. It does sound like you are having a difficult time, and it’s important that you speak to someone about it and get some help.
Getting the right support can have a really positive impact, and make you feel much better.

You can speak with Childline for free on 0800 1111. Everything you say will be treated confidentially.

Or you could speak to The Icarus Trust. we are a charity that supports people who are dealing with a family member’s addiction. We offer a free service and you could talk to one of our experienced volunteers called Family friends.
You can contact us on help@icarustrust.org or visit the website http://www.icarustrust.org
      I hope this helps.

      Best wishes.
