Hi all, despite deep down knowing the answer to this already, I wanted to ask if anyone had any advice or been in a similar position? A family member is an alcoholic (drinking afternoon until early hours, passing out, falls etc). He does not admit he has a problem nor does he admit he needs to change. His physical health is dealing rapidly I.e. bad back (liver/kidney?), he does not eat (maybe one meal), likely 1 litre vodka per day, sores and swollen legs unable to walk (also smells) to list some which are visual, he wouldnt tell us in any other problems. Fell down the stairs so badly recently he knocked himself out. He no longer socialises or goes to work. Declines all medical interventions. We are all fearful he is going to die at any stage now. I he needs to accept/ask for help, but we all feel he is going to die if no medical intervention is sought. Is there any clause medically that can help someone killing them through alcohol although they dont want it?? Any advice appreciated.
