Our son is 24 and we’ve had about three years of drunken and abusive behaviour from him. We’ve taken him to the Dr’s, to AA meetings, private counsellors but his behaviour has got so bad that we threw him out just before Christmas. He attacked our eldest son, attacked my husband, we were so scared we left the house and phoned the police. In the time it took them to arrive he had turned our house upside down, he went on a drunken rampage and caused thousands of pounds of damage. He was arrested that night but let off. Since then he’s stayed with other family members and seemed to have been sober for two months and he’s been working from their home. However this week he started drinking again, abusing the people who have taken him in and also threatening me. I am at my wits end as he can’t come home but can’t stay with other family members either, they are now terrified of him. I don’t know what to do any more. Any advice appreciated.
