Hi I’m really worried about my mother, alcohol has taken over her life, she’s been hospitalised 6 times in less than a year and detoxed. She’s sleeping most of the day and then up through the night. She’s lost her job now and found out last week she’s been done for drink driving and due to attend court. She’s completely given up and drinking endless amounts of vodka. She will tell professionals what they want to hear and won’t accept help. She’s not eaten a great day for months now and lost extreme amounts of weight. The past few days she won’t eat at all she had a bite of toast but nothing else. I’m at a real loss on what to do to help her if at all I can – please help if you can
