Hope your alright. Im in the same situation as you with coke. I cant stand the stuff anymore. But im doing my best to stop. Ive laspsed a couple times this year. 1st was after 2 month.
Ive got a gf and kids and i didnt want to lose it all. I have the worse comedowns from it. Even thoughts of suicide now and again. And it takes me about 4 days to fully come out of depression mode.
I ve been lapsing about once a month. But you seem to be having more than me, but that dont matter we are both addicts.
1st its great you want to stop. Do you drink before you get the coke? Or have it soba? Alcohol is a main trigger for coke.
Soo.. these are the things i really reccomend to do to help you stop.
1. Delete all dealers nums out your phone, friends and even family who you have it with, delete all social media.
2. Avoid all trigger points eg.. corner shop were you picked up, friends, pubs.
3. Dont drink any alcohol!
4. Look up.. emotional, mental and physical relapse.this will prepare you for a lapse.and how to prevent it.
5. And the main thing to help you and this will help with your anxiety and depression is to change your life and routine around. Start doing new hobbies.. long walks.. reading.. swimming.. gym.. crafts with your children.. anything you want. So starting from monday say.. do 1 weeks worth of planning on a calander and cross each day off. And plan each day. Around work if you work. Do you work? How many kids you got and have you got a partner?
Remember when you wake up.. just tell yourself.. for today only you will stay clean. Take 1 day at a time. Dont do it for your kids. Do it for yourself! Everything else will fall into place when you are in a much better place.

Im struggling with a bit of a coke habbit. And i work hard and my kids get what they want 1st.
I was gonna say tell the lazy bastard get a job and pay for his own habbit but im not..
Id lay down some ground rules RIGHT NOW. He admits he has a problem, and he goes and gets help straight away. You tell him get off his back side and help out. And he has to apply for X amount of jobs a week. If not kick him out. Hes dragging you down!.
You havent been helping paying it for him, prob made it worse. But stick to your decision.. if he turkeys.. let him.. or tell him go to the docs. But he really does need to sort himself.
You have been wiping his backside for too long by the look of it. Be strong.. be firm.. and dont give in.

danman83ParticipantMaybe she needs see a councilor. It sounds like shes hit rock bottom and is just stuck at bottom of a hole. And needs guidence to get out.
If shes stuck in the house all the time she is just going to get worse. Take her out for a walk and spend time with the grandchildren. And keep reasuring her that life does get better after drink.. its just that 1st hurdle she needs to admit it and weather the storm for a bit. But there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

danman83ParticipantHiya ally.. im in the same boat as you. And i am doing my best to quit. I gave up for 2 month at the start of the year. And have lapsed once a month since then. But i guess im on the right track.
1st thing is which is good, you want to quit, and are fed up of it.
If i was you id stop drinking all together now. Alcohol is the main trigger to get coke. Delete all dealers nums.. social media as well.
You need to take up some new hobbies.. or things to do to keep you occupied. Ive took up reading and ive never read., or go for long walks, gym, save for something.
I also listen to a lot of cocaine recovery stories and addiction on podcast and you tube. They help a great deal.
Theres a lot more to do aswell. But you mainly have to avoid anything to do with coke!.
How much do you use? And how often?

If the problem is driving in the area.. maybe look for another job.. i have in the past told dealers. Stop selling it to me it makes me suicidal.. some have. Some havent.
I could have a fam photo but that wouldnt stop.. do you know whats great tho.. tell him download castbox. And theres loads of podcast to listen to.. tell him listen to the alan charles show.. theres about 50 eps so far. He was a coke addict for 24 year! And how he got through it all is amazing. And it helps a great deal listening to people who are a lot worse and how they beat it.. russel brand is on there and he talks about his.
Theres a thing called the 3 Ds.. delay.. distract . Do… so if he gets cravings.. tell himself delay it for 30 mins… distract. Distract it with walking the dog..read a book.. tidy up.. walk.. anything.. and then act on it and do it. This is because cravings last 30 mins..
On a positive note tho.. he is trying . And hes lapsing 6 times ayear. Which isnt every week.
You know and he knows when its happening. Take his money off him at 7 weeks or something.
But just make sure he is only lapsing as he says. We do lie about it lol.

And my gf said we been invited to a party.. i said plz can we not go and you just stay in with me i dont want get coke.. she said i be fine.. and i got it… i was gutted..
Anyways .. if hes hitting 2 month and hes lapsing.. he must be thinking a few things .. that hes ok now and he can go past these trigger points.. eg.. driving past were he use pick drugs up.. he can have a drink now.. he can go to friends and not use while they use.
The fact is.. 2 and 3 month is a sneaky stage of lapse.. it creeps up on you and your brain is playing games with you making it ok to get it.
My advice is coming up to 6 week..mainly the week he normally lapses.. is he needs to up alertness if you get me. He knows whats coming. May be do a plan for the next 2 week of hobbies or something. Each day write things.. go for walk… meal.. gym.. a book.. decorate..
He and you both know its coming. Hes not going to be ok for another year.. may be longer.. so no matter what.. he is not ok at 8 week if he thinks he is. He needs not to drink any alcohol at all. This is a main trigger.
And you support him as much as he can. If he goes out with friends on that 8 week mark. Say no you are not.
Have you watched louise clarke on you tube on crack cocaine part 123.. get them watched you will learn alot.. and she explains what happens at the 2 month mark and what to do.

Im doing my best to quit coke i hate the stuff i have lapsed afew times this year. I have it about once a month. And i wish i never touched it.

You need to totally change your life around. Get out of your routine and do.some new hobbies .. ill be back on 2mz
danman83ParticipantYe mines mainly now when am out.. which is very rare.. i use do it in the house on my own.. then come down all on my own and depressed. I cant stand the downers anymre..
I wouldnt worry about the site.. we can be on it aswell mate and help others still.
