Hi Cinslie I’ve being using for the past few weeks:-( I keep telling myself to stop and then go to pharmacy on the way home. I’m feeling really low depressed and hopeless I finished the book I was reading but it wasn’t overly helpful given she kept relapsing and hadn’t got off it by the end of the book which wasn’t good for my hopelessness. It’s been nearly five years that I’ve been addicted I hate to think what damage I’m doing to myself

Thank you for your response. I did get ranitidine from the doctor the full strength but they wont keep prescribing as they wanted to find out why I was getting the pain I told him I was taking ibuprofen for pain I missed out the codeine part. I buy them from the supermarket now so I dont get the questions. I bought 32 yesterday and also bought the codeine cough syrup thinking I would wean myself off. Who am I kidding I took all the pills and drank the 200ml bottle of cough syrup. I’m reading a book at the moment called I’m fifty and I dont want to die about an Australian woman who was addicted yo nurofen plus it’s good and I’m using it as a motivator to stop. I’m going to die if I don’t stop I know this. It tells the story of a women who did die at the start. How are you doing?

Hey how are you both going I can relate have been taking 32 tabs minimum for nearly five years and I know in really harming myself. I get sleep apnoea most nights waking up with a start. I found the routes to recovery road maps helpful in explaining opiate withdrawal syndrome. I have stopped so many times often cave at the 5 day mark. I live off loperamide and ranitidine. I just want my life back

Hi Simon unfortunately you cant make people see reality and get help. Have they given you any inkling they are concerned about their drinking?

Thank you so much for your reply and kind words. I went to my doctor and she was great. I’m going to the drug service tomorrow. I went three days with nothing and caved today and bought some. The restless leg was really bad I was crying at night I took some magnesium but it didn’t really help. Thanks again

Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to go to the doctor today and admit what is going on I did this about four years ago and they recommend I go to a drug treatment centre but I never went it’s time now it’s got so much worse than I could have ever imagined. Thanks again for replying
