My son has smoked cannabis since he was fourteen he moved on to cocaine as well. He is now 28 and out of control. He is verbally abusive to me, throwing things at me punching walls or doors near me, he smashed my front door in about three years ago, he had a key when he went out. I should have had him arrested at this point but he apologised n paid for a replacement panel for door. I had a new stronger door so he cant do it again. I thought we were helping him, he live here for almost nothing, I realise now I was enabling him. A year last August after a month of my husband witnessing his behaviour, I’d been putting up with it for at least three years. We made he leave we paid deposit for a room got him food bought him a new tv as he had put his fist through his. He was very verbally aggressive and threatening to me; to the point of texting threatening to kill me. We have asked him to stay away as we can’t cope with this anymore and I am actually frightened of him, really worried about what he is capable of. It’s so sad as underneath this he is a nice person who is lost.
