Thank you so much. I understand that we all have our bad days. I totally understand that a GP would have to be very direct and even firm with someone like me who has been self medicating and using a substance as a crutch…the second doctor I spoke was firm with me but was much more human about it. The initial doctor was a real dragon and I was in a real mess and a state…close to tears. I can just shake it off now but at the time I felt so judged and felt so low after how she was.

At least the Dr I spoke to after has been so much different and he has worked out a plan for me to work with and has told me to deal directly with him. He was quite clear that he will be corresponding with my key worker ( I am yet to hear back yet from the drug support group as to who is my specific key worker) and he will be checking I am engaging with the support group to show i am working towards the goal of being Tramadol free and how he wants honesty and clarity from me. I understand completely that he needs to see I am actually working at it and not just using them for a crutch as I.have been.

I just needed a rant about the first Dr as I was taken aback. Got it off my chest now.

Thanks so much for that supportive message. It is really appreciated and helpful. Truly thank you!! X
