Hi Both,

New to this but I’m in similar situation so glad I’ve found this.

I’m 37, 2 little kids and have been taking codeine for a long time. The doctor didn’t seem to pick up on me ordering it each month. Then I asked them to remove from my repeat. That’s when I realised I was addicted.

I’ve just referred myself to the local NHS drug and alcohol service and have been given buprenorphine but I’m not sure what I’m doing. All I know is the withdrawal is awful “(
