I think if I had known what was coming with the same situation your in now I would have run!! I have two children age 15 and 17 years old and have been with my partner for 20 years and I don’t think I have yet had a year where he hasn’t relapsed! Some years worse than others and everytime I feel like I’m back at the beginning!! I’m still with my partner but it’s hard, we can’t do normal things like go out for a drink cos that leads to him sniffing coke then doing crack and then coming down off crack with heroin …. it’s truly never ending!! I have tried to understand and when his been in rehab have attended groups myself but it’s a very hard road and knowing the life I’ve had I wouldn’t want my daughter to live this.
