Adfam is pleased to publish its latest research report, ‘Above and Beyond’: The key role families play in recovery (pdf).
This research reveals that family members play a significant role helping their loved ones that are experiencing problems with their drinking or drug use to achieve and maintain recovery. This research draws on the testimonies of over 100 people who have themselves experienced problems with their drinking or drug use and are now in recovery. Three quarters of participants in the study said that their family members had played a significant part in their recovery.
