Someone I know mistakenly took a short release 5mg Oxycodone whilst using a BuTrans 10mg patch (Buprenorphine).
Is this a medical emergency or can they just ride it out?
Not looking for judgement.

If they have been on the BuTrans patch for a a while then no it won’t be an emergency. Buprenorphine blocks most other opiates (trust me I know 1st hand 😉 )
so 5mg of Oxy is nothing and they will be fine.
