A couple of years ago I found out my brother was addicted to Crystal Meth – Injecting. Since then he has been to rehab and managed to be clean for 2 years or so with a couple of small blips. Since lockdown – April time – He has started using again and gradually has been getting worse. I was unaware of this until I got a call from his friend telling me he was in hospital the other week. I just cant believe I am back to square 1 again. He has a great job, and has only just cleared his debts from his drug abuse all that time ago. Everything was on the up and I cant help but feel that the pandemic has been a triggering factor. At home alone, with nothing to do is an addicts worst nightmare right? Its such an evil drug and gives him severe psychosis and paranoia, he calls me at 4 or 5am in the morning, and will be awake for days, calling the police, wandering the streets etc etc. Not only that, because he injects the risks involved are enormous and every time he does it im scared hes going to die.

Anyway Im mainly here to vent, and see if anyone has any advice, I just don’t know what to do or how I can help anymore?? Does anyone know if there is anyone I can talk to about Meth addicts specifically – I feel there is so much info about other drug use but meth seems to be left behind as it is not as used in the UK.
