Where to start. Emily is 22 she has a beautiful 2 year old a gorgeous 2 bed new build housing association house in a lovely place and a good job. All of which could be lost in a flash because Emily is a heavy cocaine addict and has been for approx a year and a half, maybe more.

I am at my wits end though am learning more and more each day about cocaine addiction. Emily is at her worst an excellent liar, a cheat, violent, a thief and an irresponsible mother! At her best she is a lovely girl, very polite, considerate, smart and well presented and an excellent Mum. Sadly the bad Emily is surfacing more and more.

I have lent so much money to her, paid bills, bought everything for her daughter, had lots of money stolen and now at the end of my tether. Emily currently has £2000 worth of payday loans outstanding, some of which she’s used our address! What do I do now?

Emily wants to give up cocaine. She sees a drugs counsellor but then that night does more cocaine! I now know a lot of her tricks so she’s started staying with us to take her mind off cocaine. Then she ‘feels trapped’ goes home and does more cocaine. I’ve rung social services for advice, tried speaking to payday loan companies to stop them lending, rung drugs helplines. Lots of helplines don’t really want to know. I don’t want her losing everything because of her daughter but equally I can’t keep enabling her. I have £2000 sat ready to pay off her current payday loans but my husband doesn’t want me to. She smashed our window in a temper yesterday and hurt herself 🙂 in the process. Our 30 year marriage is being pushed to the limit as Emily is consuming our or my whole life. I am ready to take on my Grandaughter as I hate seeing her rejected at times.

Cocaine is evil. I wonder where this will end. My friends ‘pity’ me which annoys me as I didn’t ask for this. How I dream of having a lovely close happy family x
