My partner & I met just over a year ago, when he was in a very dark place struggling with alcohol addiction. At the time I had no experience of this at all, and had to leave him this time last year as my own mental health crumbled.. He proved his love for me by tipping the vodka down the sink & has not had a drop for a year, holding down a full time job as a HGV driver. We have been very much in love & best friends..until now.

I went on a city break for three days with my daughter, and when we landed his mum rang to say that he couldn’t collect us from the airport because he was drunk.. I was devastated! Worse still, when we got home and I checked his phone, he had been contacting other women while he had been drunk on neat vodka ????‍???? How has this happened, he adores me & is the kindest most devoted man .. I feel completely betrayed & heartbroken..please help, can alcohol change personality to this extent or has he never really loved me? I am broken ????
