Well I went, literally confessed everything about my addiction. My doc was pretty understanding but the pharmacy are forcing her to report me. She said that the consequence won’t be that bad as I’ve admitted my wrongdoing and sought help by myself.

She did send me straight to the hospital because of all the paracetamol in the co-codamol, liver failure, liver damage etc. I was there for 11 hrs hooked up to some antidote drip to reverse the effects of paracetamol. The consultant prescribed me codeine and discharged me on the understanding that I go back today at 12, for another blood test and drip. There are some concerns with my blood test, but nothing major, I hope

Thank you. I’m going to my appointment with the full intent of being open and honest about my problem. I will take what ever punishment they want to give me as I deserve it.

Thank you homesickalien. I am absolutely petrified of my appointment tomorrow. I am thinking about coming clean to my gp about my addiction. To make matters worse, the love of my life died suddenly from cardiac arrest, 3 weeks ago so I’m in the midst of grief too, which isn’t helping my decision making. If it wasn’t for my children keeping me going, then I would be with him in heaven
