If you need anyone to talk to The Icarus Trust is a charity which supports families of addicts.
We have trained volunteers who you could talk things through with you which may help. Also they would be able to signpost you or your daughter to other help that’s available.

I’m really sorry to hear what a horrible situation you are having to deal with.
You are definitely not the only one going through this and it sounds like you could do with some support for yourself.
The Icarus Trust is a charity who support people who are having to cope with addiction in their family. We have trained volunteers called ‘Family Friends’. If you contact us we would put you in touch with one of these who would be able to talk to you and may be able to help because they have also experienced similar situations. You are so right when you say that its good to be able to let out how you are feeling. They can also signpost you to other help that’s out there.

I agree with the posts above. You sound a really positive person and I’m glad that you know that its your dad’s choices that are causing him problems not yours.
The Icarus Trust is a charity which supports the families and friends of addicts. We have experienced trained volunteers, called ‘Family Friends’ that you or your mum might like to talk to. While there may not be any easy answers it often helps to talk to people who understand what you are going through.

This is really difficult for you and It sounds like you could do with someone to talk through how you are feeling and how to find a way forward for you to help your sister.

We would be able to offer you one of our trained volunteers called ‘Family Friends’ who could talk with you and maybe help you to find the way ahead. Sadly lots of people are in similar situations to yourself having to deal with the effect of another’s addiction. The Icaurus Trust is a charity which tries to support people like yourself. if you contact us you would be put in touch with one of our trained ‘Family Friends’ who would talk to you in complete confidence. This might help you to find a way forward and see what other help is available if you want it.

There are no magic answers but there are people who you can talk to who have experience of what you are going through.

I am so sorry that you are having a very stressful and scary time dealing with your husbands drink and drugs problems.
Sadly there are no magic answers and the people who have been contacting you have nothing to do with Adfam!
However there are people who can help you. I work for a charity called Icarus Trust. We have trained volunteers who are experienced in supporting people dealing with addiction in their families. They would be able to listen and talk to you as it often helps to offload to someone who understands how you are feeling. They will also tell you what other help could be available.
This is a FREE service so it might be worth giving it a try.
