Kinship Care Co-ordinator (Peterborough)
We wish to recruit a Kinship Care Coordinator to deliver our Children in Need project working with kinship families in Peterborough. Responsibilities will include identifying kinship carers and children living in kinship care, running activities for the kinship children and their families to reduce isolation and build social networks, assessing the needs of the children and kinship carers, and support them to access the practical and emotional support that they need.
The successful applicant will have experience in working with children and families, and will build on this already successful project to provide activities and support to children in kinship care and their families.
- Salary range: £24, 000-25,500 p.a pro rata, dependent on experience
- Hours: 21 hours per week
- Contract: 1 year with possible extension dependent on securing funding
Based in Peterborough from local service or home with frequent travel around Peterborough to visit families, partners and service providers. Also travel to activity venues and to Adfam Head Office in London will be required. Use of a car is essential. The post requires regular work at weekends and during school holidays.

Family Support Co-ordinator (Swindon)
We are a partner in a new project in Swindon, funded by the Department of Health Innovation Fund for Children of Alcohol Dependent Parents. We are a member of a team which will deliver an ambitious project which aims to improve identification of alcohol dependent parents and their children, increase referrals to alcohol treatment and increase the numbers of children and families accessing support.
We wish to recruit a Family Support Co-ordinator to work within the project delivery team in Swindon. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of experience and skills in community development, managing volunteers, training, and in engaging with and supporting families.
This is a new post which will suit an energetic, enthusiastic and creative person who wants to work with an innovative and exciting national charity, and to develop new approaches to supporting families affected by alcohol misuse.
- Salary range: £24,000-26,000 depending on experience
- 6.5% contributory pension scheme
- Contract and hours: 1 year fixed contract, 35 hours/week (will consider request for 28 hours/week)

Projects and Communications Assistant
We are seeking to employ a Projects and Communications Assistant to join a small, energetic and ambitious organisation, working within the Policy and Communications team to support the day-to-day work, contribute strongly to communications and policy work, organise and manage small events, and lead some discrete projects.
This is a stimulating and demanding role which offers variety and opportunities for exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and partners, including parliamentary, media and representatives from the children, families, and drugs/alcohol sectors.
It is ideal for someone with some experience in an office setting, ideally within the voluntary sector, who is looking for a varied role and lots of opportunities for development. The post-holder will have good communication skills, be adept in managing the priorities of a busy working environment, willing to learn, and have a commitment to supporting and empowering some of our most vulnerable citizens.
- Salary range: £20,000-22,000pa
- 6.5% contributory pension scheme
- Contract: Until September 2021
