London

Adfam has funding to offer support sessions, counselling and peer support groups to those living in London.

Adfam@Home is a remote support service offering one to one support directly to adults affected by a loved one’s drug or alcohol use. Support or counselling sessions are offered in the comfort of your own home and are delivered via Zoom or telephone.

To request sessions,  please complete the form below. We will be in touch to check out that what we can offer is appropriate for you and then, when available, we will put you in touch with a support worker or counsellor to arrange your first session.
You will need to have private use of a room and an appropriate device for your sessions, and we will also discuss any previous support, personal circumstances and ask about your mental health to ensure that providing you with remote sessions is safe and suitable for you.

What we offer

6 sessions of one to one support from a skilled and experienced worker
Support sessions will provide you with the opportunity to explore how your loved one’s drug or alcohol use is affecting you and to receive support with how to make changes if you would like to. Our experienced worker will spend time listening to you, and over the six sessions will also introduce a range of topics which we have found to be helpful to those affected by another person’s substance use. Our worker will (metaphorically!) walk alongside you as you plan a way forward and may make suggestions for further support or advice if appropriate.

Following support sessions, you may also request 12 counselling sessions with a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, if you would like to further explore aspects of coping and emotional wellbeing.
We also have facilitated peer support groups available if you would like to meet with others affected in a similar way for mutual support.
All of Adfam’s support, counselling and peer support groups take place online via Zoom.

To request support sessions, please complete one of the forms below.
Our support is available free of charge. Some who are able to do so have asked us if they can pay for their support. We have therefore introduced the option of self-funding. We have a fixed number of free sessions available, depending on our funding levels. We have a limited number of self-funded places available, depending on capacity.
If you are in a position to pay for your support and would like to do so, please select that option below. The cost is £60 for an assessment and first support session (two separate appointments), and then £200 for 5 further support sessions (£40 per session).
