Swindon – families affected by alcohol misuse

Adfam is a member of the Restore project in the Swindon, developing support for children and families affected by alcohol in the borough.

Funding for this project was awarded through the Innovation Fund, managed by Public Health England (PHE).

As part of this project we are based at the Turning Point service in Swindon and provide:

Peer support, training and facilitation for those with lived experience of supporting a loved one with an alcohol dependency who want to support others.

Free family activities for the non-drinking parent / carer / affected others and children in the family of an alcohol dependent parent.

Signposting to other organisations in Swindon who are project partners and offering other support services to families effected by alcohol dependency.
